05 June 2024

Euraxess-Strasbourg is organising a one-day workshop in English on cross-border career opportunities in Germany and Switzerland on Monday, 17th of June from 9AM to 6PM in collaboration with :

  • The Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists : the central institution for the promotion of junior researchers at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) ;
  • EURES-T Upper Rhine : cross-border partnership within the EURES (European Employment Services) network. It operates in the Upper Rhine region, which encompasses parts of Germany, France, and Switzerland ;
  • The University of Basel (Switzerland) ;
  • EUCOR - The European Campus network (France, Germany and Switzerland).

The morning will consist of presentations as well as a unique testimonial from Dr Anja Metelmann, holder of a cross-border junior professorship in the framework of the EUCOR network.

Then, the afternoon will be devoted to round-table discussions on the academic public sector and the private sector in Germany and Switzerland. Furthermore, we will have an additional round table on interculturality in a tri-national context (France, Germany, Switzerland).These round tables are open and the discussion will depend on your questions and interests. The aim is for you to be able to talk to the speaker in a small group and ask all your questions, concerns, needs and aspirations.

Please, note that Emma Adelson, our international researchers support officer will be available to answer your questions about cross-border mobility and the administrative procedures involved (visas, health insurance ...).

You'll be able to take part in 3 different round-tables, as we'll be changing every 45 minutes to give you the opportunity to learn and explore as many paths as possible.
